welcome to studland watersports

The season has begun

Our expansive array of watersports equipment caters for all ages and abilities. Get on the powerboat for a sightseeing tour or, if you dare, tell the driver to open the taps and hold onto your seats. Hone your sailing and windsurfing skills. Enjoy a large range of pedaloes, canoes, stand-up paddleboards and more, or simply relax on one of our deckchairs or sunloungers available all day for a small charge.

Studland Watersports is a long-established seafront operation on the magnificent sands of Knoll Beach. The bay is tucked away around the corner from Sandbanks, protected from the prevailing wind by the picturesque cliffs of Ballard Down and far away from the shipping channels as such, lending itself perfectly to watersports of all kinds. The most famous monument in the vicinity is Old Harry rocks, which marks the start of the beautiful Jurassic coast.

The beach itself totals five miles in length, has a large area of sand dunes, which children love to explore and is located not far from Godlingston Heath, popular with walkers and riders. There is plenty of parking within walking distance of the waterfront, fresh water showers and toilets. There is a beach shop and cafe run by the National Trust, which serves meals, snacks, beverages and the all important ice cream.

We offer group bookings with discounts for high numbers. Gift vouchers are also available. Contact us for more details.

We are open every weekend (weather depending) from Easter bank holiday until Whitsun, then seven days a week through to the end of September. Mountain bike hire and Powerboat rides will be available through the winter for weekends and holidays.

This year, you can look forward to some exciting events involving stand-up paddleboards and kayaks, organised in conjunction with the National Trust, during which you will be taken all the way to Old Harry rocks with a guide. The early morning tour will include breakfast and the late night alternative will be followed by a barbeque in the cafe. These will run throughout the summer and more information can be found on their website: www.nationaltrust.org.uk or by calling 01929 450500.
